fun fun

"“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:1-3") just a random bible verse :)

I don't know if you could call this a "post"

Well, no one has posted anything in a while (well actually I would have had something to say yesterday, but that is a completely different story, for a completely different time) so...
"When life hands you lemons, say 'Oh yeah. I like lemons. What else ya got?" -The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
...there, I posted something! :)

Oh, and here is my question of the day:
Do vegetarians eat animal crackers?

Monkey Bread

This is Brittney today. I learned how to make this at school, then I came home and told my mom that she should make it for the family sometime. Then she told me that I could make it just as well as she probably could. So... I made it, and it was very much enyoyed. So now, when someone in the family feels like having monkey bread for breakfast, I AM THE ONE WHO HAS TO GET UP AND MAKE IT!! Well, it's not actually that much of a burden, because the stuff is stinkin' delicious, But, my mother insists that if ANYONE else tried to make it, it wouldn't be as good. So, here I am, posting on the internet, for the ENTIRE world to see, is the recipie for my monkey bread. I am doing this to prove that i am NOT the ONLY PERSON that is capable of baking this delectable dish.
  1. INGREDIENTS: 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/2 teaspooon nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon allspice, 1/4 teaspoon ginger, 2 cans refrigerated biscuits, 6 tablespoons butter

Vanilla Icing

So right now, this is Paige. And i just realized that we aren't going to be able to make a ton of blogs if we just do it on sleepovers. I just happened to get hungry, so i decided to make some icing to go along with the cookies.

Vanilla Icing

  1. INGREDIENTS: 2 cups SIFTED powdered sugar, 4 tablespoons butter or margarine (melted), 2-4 tablespoons milk or water, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  2. mix together all ingredents WITH A SPOON in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. add more milk if too thick after stirring for about 3 minutes, more powdered sugar if too thin.
  4. spread over Betty Crocker Funfetti(TM) cookies! and ENJOY

WORDS OF ADVICE: " If you think you can do anything by yourself, you're wrong. When you come to a trouble in life, get some help. Find a mentor that is older than you by a few years and that does the right thing."

Bake much???

Have you ever tried to make funfetti™ cakemix cookies?? We have, just last night to be exact. You see, last night Brittney came over to my house after our church's VBS. For some STRANGE reason, we got way too bored and decided to make cupcakes. But then, we realized there wasn't any icing! OH NO... so instead, we started to make cookies... turns out we aren't very good at it.

We started out fine and all, but then as it got to the "mix ingredients" part, we got confuzzled. Who knew you had to use a spoon to stir things together? SHEESH! You learn something new everyday though. On that note, here's your first statement of wiseness.

"Doeth as the box tells you. Don'tith think you can ACTUALLY cook without directions. That box your looking at is allith knowing. SO LISTEN UP AND USE A SPOON."

Here's how you perfectly execute the process of Funfetti™ cakemix cookie baking....

  1. Go to your local Hen House food market and purchase a Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix box.
  2. Take your box of Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix home.
  3. Take out all of the materials needed (1/3 cup vegetable oil, 2 eggs, a box of Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix, flour, a large mixing bowl, a spatula, 2 cookie sheets, a large spoon, a cup, and a measuring cup) to prepare your Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix cookies.
  4. Open the box of Betty Crocker funfetti™ cakemix and pour into your large mixing bowl.
  5. Crack the two eggs into the bowl of Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix.
  6. Pour 1/3 cup of vegetable oil into the bowl of Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix and eggs.
  7. Mix thoroughly with a large spoon until you can no longer see the powdery Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix.
  8. Once the Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cakemix is THOROUGHLY mixed with the eggs and vegetable oil, look at it carefully and observe what a beautiful masterpiece you have created.
  9. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375° BEFORE YOU EXECUTE THE THIRD STEP!!!! -oops i forgot to tell you earlier. DARN ;)
  10. Take out your cookie sheets and place one inch balls of Betty Crocker Funfetti™ cookie dough 2 inches apart on your pan.
  11. Dip glass into flour and press into the cookie until they are flattened to 1/4 inch.
  12. Open oven door
  13. Place cookie sheets into oven on oven rack.
  14. Close oven door.
  15. Set timer for 16 minutes. (when time goes off, check to make sure they are golden brown)
  16. Once cookies are in the oven, you have not finished your job. Next you are to take the flour bag and blow into it.
  17. Make sure it gets ALL OVER YOUR FACE.
  18. Next find a random bystander and suggest that they turn around and face you. In this process, you just go ahead and pour the flour throughout their body.
  19. SIDE NOTE>>>>> if you followed steps 16-18 GREAT JOB!! if not, your cookies will be a giant ROCK. they'll form into random letters and be burnt.
  20. Once the timer beeps, open oven door.
  21. Take out cookie sheets
  22. CLOSE oven door.
  23. Once cooled (try to figure out when without NOT touching them.) do your VERY best attempt to get those darned things off your pan.
  24. IF you can get them off, then place them on a plate.
  25. ENJOY!!!!!
